Our story is a love story for the modern age. Two foreigners from different lands met in Panama. We found each other through the Bumble dating app and for two weeks spoke exclusively in GIFs (that was a clear sign that we were meant to be). A hospital visit to postpone the first date was not enough of a deterrent and so the First Date came to pass in Pedro Mandinga Rum bar, where the first test was passed…we both like cats! This would prove crucial to our relationship. A spark was lit which led to further dates, talking with words now (mostly English but some Spanglish thrown in to balance it out)! Weekends at Alexia’s place turned into week days as Chris worked hard to be accepted by Mussi (easy - 15 minutes), Kiki (harder) and Leo (still working on it). This soon led to holidays together, meeting Alexia’s parents, wider family, and Chris’ parents within 6 months. (Yeap meeting the parents was quite quick, but when things are easy, nothing feels hurried, timings just feel right).

Our single lives ended in a matter of months - Chris’ bachelor life was upended when Alexia, Mussi, Kiki and Leo moved in; Alexia’s planned future as a proud and happy cat lady had to be revised, and a new chapter was written.

We were joined two year later by Fullo and now our family is complete. We have both spent long periods of time away from our traditional homes with our families, but we have now found a new home in each other and it is the best thing that has ever happened to us!

These first two years have been easy, warm, joyful and full of love. We know that marriage also means work, commitment, understanding and (lots and lots of) patience. What lies ahead will surely bring new challenges — but also plenty of laughter, travels and moments we look forward to sharing with you all!!

We are incredibly excited to celebrate our wedding with friends and family, bringing 3 worlds together…our Mexican, British and Panamanian circles in one place! We would be delighted if you can join us for our special celebration!
